SECURE PAYMENT
Smart Racing protect your card details with firewalls and
intrusion detection systems plus industry standard full 128-bit
SSL encryption and a secure certificate from Verisign. When
entering your card number, please confirm that the padlock
symbol appears in the bottom right hand corner of the screen.

ADDRESS AUTHORISATION AND AUTHENTICATION
(AVS & CV2)
All the transaction information you enter is sent to your
own card issuer for authorisation and authentication (AVS
and CV2). If the funds are authorised, your card issuer holds
the amount in a deferred payment account until we despatch
your order. Then they compare the name and address details
you enter on our web site, with the name and address details
in their records. If the details you entered do not match
EXACTLY with their records, they advise us to comply with
card regulations and guidelines and cancel the order.
The most common reason for non-authentication of address details
are:
- You have moved and not notified
your card issuer
- You have entered you work address
but your card is registered to your home
address
- You have entered your address or
post code incorrectly (Do not confuse the letter O
with the number
zero)
- Your card issuer may have recorded
your details incorrectly when you opened your
card account
- You have made several unsuccessful
attempts to place an order
ALTERNATIVE DELIVERY ADDRESS OPTION
Telephone the number on your card and request an additional
address BEFORE placing your order. This usually takes a few
minutes.
Place your order and enter the new address details.
If you have already placed an order that was unsuccessful,
please instruct your card issuer to void any outstanding Smart
Racing authorisation that may still exist BEFORE trying to
order again.
CONDITIONS OF WEB SITE USE, GOVERNING LAW
AND CONTRACT INFORMATION
No contract will subsist between you and Smart Racing for the
sale by it to you of any product unless and until Smart Racing
notifies you by email that your order has actually been despatched.
That acceptance will be deemed complete and will be deemed for
all purposes to have been effectively communicated to you at
the time Smart Racing sends the e-mail to you (whether or not
you receive that e-mail). For the avoidance of doubt, any such
contract will be deemed to have been concluded in the United
Kingdom. Further, any such contract will be interpreted, construed
and enforced in all respects in accordance with the laws of
Scotland, and you and Smart Racing irrevocably submit to the
non-exclusive jurisdiction of the Scottish Courts.

WHEN IS MY ORDER CHARGED TO MY CREDIT CARD?
When you submit your order online, a "hold" for the
full amount is placed on your card by your card issuer, who
verifies that the cardholder name, address and security number
you have entered exactly match their own records. If they do,
we are then authorised to process the order and the charge is
made to your card. Should there be a delay due to card verification
problems, stock unavailability or other reasons, we will notify
you by email.
